School Update

School update 2-19-18 (CISD Facebook post)

Thank you for your cooperation and patience. All of our campuses are safe after being searched by law enforcement and the K9 team. Our top priority is the safety and security of our students and staff. Anyone that threatens public safety at Central ISD by making a false threat and creating an emergency situation commits a felony criminal offense. This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

According to the Texas Rangers working on the investigation, when the individual is caught they will be arrested taken to jail or juvenile detention and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The arrested individual will also incur court cost, legal fees, and have a criminal record. Any false emergency not only threatens public safety, but cost thousands of dollars, creates fear and anxiety, and requires school makeup time.

Finally, there is a reward of $500 dollars for information leading to the arrest of this individual. Once again, law enforcement with the Texas Rangers will be on the high school campus today questioning students that may have information about who made the threat.
