Dear Parents,

Welcome to Central Primary! We’ve had an exciting summer preparing for the 2007-2008 school year. We are “Focused on the Future” and advancing from “Good to Great”! It’s going to be a great year, and I am looking forward to working with you and your child.

For a smooth transition back to school, I would appreciate your help. When we work together and keep open communication, school will be a great experience for your child. Always feel free to contact your child’s teacher at any time that you have questions or concerns. Just call the Primary Office at 853-2710 to schedule a time for the teacher to call you or set up a conference with you. The teacher will contact you on her conference time to discuss your needs.

The gate will open at 7:30 each morning for students who are dropped off in the car rider line. This is the gate behind the Kindergarten Building. If you plan for the child to eat breakfast in the cafeteria, please do not drop your child off at this gate. Students eating breakfast at school will need to be dropped of at the front gate between High School and Jr. High between 7:25 and 7:50. There will be a person on duty at the gate to ensure your child gets to the cafeteria. Do not drop your child off if the front gate is closed, as the child will be unattended. No child will be allowed to be dropped off before 7:30 at the Primary Campus, because the staff is not on duty until that time.

For your child’s safety, we require you to sign in at the Primary Office and get a Visitor’s Tag. This does include when you come to eat lunch with your child. I would advise that you eat with your child only once a week, as it is very important for them to learn to socialize with the other students during meal times.

Please call the Primary Office no later than 2:00, if your plans change for how your child is getting home. Please do not send a note with your child to school, because young children do not always remember to give us the note.
